Overview of the project

Our project is to build a Fox Hole Radio. It is very simple to build. This is becuase soldiers in the fox holes durring WWII had to be able to make these radios without going to a store. This radio altough good in WWII has not been know to produce great sound quality nor many radio stations.

What have you accomplished this week?

This week we have researched the project to find out more about the radio. In addition, we have started to redo parts of the radio becuase the Radio was not working in the original test. I believe that the probem is the coils that we made. It could be a many other problems including the problem of getting a strong signal and a speaker that can produce this small amount of sound.

What problems have you overcome this week?

We have overcome the problem of finding out how the radio actualy works. In addition, we have overcome the problem of having nowhere to start to look for the problem.

What are the most significant problems you face at this time? What will you do to meet these problems?

One problem that I now have is how to make the radio work. There are a ton of different parts that could be wrong. In addition tunning the radio could also be a problem and could take awhile to learn how to do. To solve the problem of getting the radio working we will go through each piece and make sure that it is as close to perfect as posible.

What materials or information do you need? How do you plan on getting these materials or information?

I hope to find more information about possble faults in the radio. And any information that will get the radio working. I hope to find this information on the internet or threw Ed Perry.
